We adopted a new tradition in our family this year. The tradition came from the Family Fun magazine. After Halloween, the kids are allowed to eat one piece of candy a day from their Halloween stash they collected going Trick or Treating. The night before Thanksgiving we put the candy out on the front porch, and the Switch Witch comes to our house and collects the candy that is left over and replaces it with a gift for the kids. The Switch Witch takes the candy back and uses it to build her candy castle. The kids weren't too excited about the Switch Witch taking their candy, but were excited when they got up this morning and had a gift on the front porch. This year the Switch Witch left the kids two movies, a pair of Christmas pajamas each, and The Elf on the Shelf book and elf and a little bit of Christmas candy.
Welcome to our blog! I'm so glad you stopped by. Our family of 4 have moved all over this country and we made our way back to Texas to be closer to family. Through this blog of many posts and pictures, we want to share our love of Jesus and strive daily to train our children in the way that they should go so they'll never depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6)
