Halloween Week

Since Halloween is upon us, the kids and I did some Halloween crafts this week.  We made ghosts using white paint and the kids feet.  I think it turned out really cute.

We talked about the color of pumpkins and found out what colors we can put together to make orange.  We made goo using cornstarch, sugar, and water.  We cooked it on the stove, then let it cool.  We seperated it out and added red and yellow food coloring.  Then we combined the two and created orange goo.  The kids loved playing with it in their plastic bags.

We read lots of books for Halloween, Monster Mash (thank you Papa and Grandma), Marley and the Runaway Pumpkin, Midnight Fright, The Biggest Pumpkin Ever, Fancy Nancy: Halloween or Bust!, and many more.  We watched Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin and lots of other cartoons about Halloween.  It was a great week of Halloween fun.
