Fall Carnival

Monday, Nibley Elementary had their Fall Carnival at their elementary school.  The kids were excited to go and get some candy so we decided to check it out.  However, I had just ordered their halloween costumes the week before and they weren't going to be in yet.  So I had to do some brainstorming and come up with a costume for both of them.  I started with Addison and remembered that mom had given me a black mouse tail, black mouse ears, and a black bow tie that squeaked like a mouse.  I found a pair of black pants, a black shirt and black shoes and I painted her nose black and gave her some black whiskers with makeup.  She was done!  One down, one to go.

She won the black teeth at the carnival.

Now Rhyder.  I searched through his closet and his drawers and found a pair of overalls and his green John Deere boots, so I thought farmer.  I put a plaid shirt under his overalls, tied a white bandana around his neck, and found a black cowboy hat for him to wear with it.  Lastly, his great grandpa, who we call Popeye, gave him a harmonica for his birthday and we thought it was fitting with his costume.  He looked great and loved having the harmonica with him.  He actually plays it really well.

Tomorrow is Halloween and the kids costumes have come in the mail and they are ready to go.  I think next year we may just find our costumes around the house.  It would definitely be a lot cheaper.

Homemade Bread

Because of all the recent events in our country right now, going to buy staples, like bread, in the grocery store has become very difficult....
