Homemade Bread

Because of all the recent events in our country right now, going to buy staples, like bread, in the grocery store has become very difficult.  So, instead of trying to find bread, we decided to make it on our own.  We tried a recipe that was recommended and it turned out wonderful!

Here is the dough after it rose for about an hour and a half.

This is the dough after it rose in the buttered loaf pans for another hour, ready to go in the oven.

The finished product with some honey from our bee hives!

Family Game Night

For the past few months, we've been having a weekly Family Game Night on Friday nights.  We want to instill lots of family time into both our children.  Things can get so hectic, it's nice to take time out each week and spend all night together just hanging out.  When Chad gets home on Friday's, we usually start out playing games with the kids.  We play Hungry Hippo, Candyland, Chutes and Ladders, Let's Go Fishing, and many more.  We play for about and hour; that's about all Rhyder can do.  After we play games, we will eat pizza and watch a family movie together.  It's been so much fun and something I hope that we can continue to do together all the time.

Last week, we tried a new pizza from Papa Murphy's here in town.  You go in and pick out the pizza you want and they make it right in front of you and then you go home and cook it.  We ordered the new Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza.  It was amazing and definitely a hit with our family especially since it had pickles on it.  Here is a picture of it...

YUMMY!

FH'zzookie!!

We took our friends Cory and Krystal to one of our favorite restaurant in Logan, Firehouse Pizza.  The pizza is amazing, but the dessert is life changing!  Their famous dessert is called a FH'zzookie.  It is a gourmet cookie baked to order in a cast-iron skillet then topped with ice cream, chocolate, and caramel sauce.  Well, we decided to get the one with three different cookies, m&m, choclate chip, and white chocolate macadamia nut.  it was so good and we ate it all! We deserved it. We did a lot of sledding and walking up the mountains that day.
