Surprise 34th Birthday

This year for Chad's birthday, the kids and I took him on a surprise trip to West Monroe, Louisiana to see the Duck Dynasty headquarters.  He had no idea where we were going, I even packed his bag for him.  He took off early Friday from work and we left about 10:00 that morning.  We blindfolded him so he wouldn't know which direction we were going and we made a couple of turns to try and confuse him.  He was a good sport about the whole thing.  We drove about 2 hours to Springfield and stopped off at Lamberts, Home of the Throwed Rolls.  It's a great restaurant and Chad had never been before.  The only down side was he had to take his blindfold off.  After we had some lunch, we got back in the truck and blindfolded him again and took off down south into Arkansas.  We made a stop for the night in Maumelle, AR which is just north of Little Rock.  We checked in to our hotel and went swimming and had a great dinner.  We put together a Duck Dynasty package for him to open that night so he would know where we would be heading the next day.  I'm pretty sure he was more than excited!!

Homemade Bread

Because of all the recent events in our country right now, going to buy staples, like bread, in the grocery store has become very difficult....
