Spring Break

Spring Break in Utah is about 3-4 weeks later than I remember it being in Texas, because spring here actually starts a little later.  The week of Spring Break ended up being beautiful with sunny skies and warm temperatures except on Friday when it was sunny but snowed at the same time.  We took advantage of the gorgeous weather.  Here is what we did on our Spring Break...

Monday - I took the kids to see Alvin and the Chipmunks, Chipwrecked.  We were the only ones in the theater, which was great.  The kids sat through the whole movie with lots of pocorn and drink.  It was a very cute movie.  They loved it.

Tuesday - We spent the afternoon at one of our favorite parks in Logan.  It was very crowded, but the kids had a good time.

Wednesday - We made a trip to the local zoo and had a picnic in the park.

Thursday - We intended to make a trip to the American West Heritage Center in Logan for Baby Animal Days, and we did go, however, there were about 500 cars in the parking lot and almost 100 people standing in line to get tickets.  Chad had taken the day off to go with us, but we both knew that our two kids would not stand in that line for that long.  So we decided to do something else.  We took the kids to the IFA Country Store to see the baby bunnies, baby ducks, and baby chicks.  After that, we went to the Cache Valley Fun Park where the kids played on a large, soft playground for several hours.  I'm sorry, but I didn't get any pictures of the kids at the Fun Park.  Ooooops!

Friday - Chad and I took the kids to the The Living Planet Aquarium in Sandy.  We left early in the morning and spent the day there.  It was a lot of fun and the kids really enjoyed getting to touch the sting rays.  We also went to downtown Salt Lake City and got to see the state capital building.  It was beautiful.

Jellyfish, my favorite!

We stayed super busy during Spring Break and had a blast.  By Friday I think all of us were ready to get back to schedule for a little break!

Homemade Bread

Because of all the recent events in our country right now, going to buy staples, like bread, in the grocery store has become very difficult....
